The Gettysburg Campaign Part 19: That Vast Procession of Misery

In the days after the battle Confederate wagon trains roll down the roads from Gettysburg to Williamsport, but are unable to cross because of high water levels. Union cavalry ambush them at Cunningham's Crossroads and Greencastle. The main body of the Army of Northern Virginia begins it retreat under the cover of darkness and rain. Meanwhile, General George Meade plans the the pursuit and sends the Union 6th Corps in pursuit of Lee's rear guard. Both cavalry forces are on the move and clash at various points.
