Beyond the Norm: The Fragrance of Transformation and Resilience

The Gift Hidden in “Stop Crying, Life Goes On"

Listen Later

In this episode, I open up about a memory from my childhood that shaped the way I learned to cope with pain and disappointment. I share how, whenever I felt hurt or let down, I didn’t feel safe enough to talk about it—until my mom would gently ask what was wrong. And yet, when I finally opened up, her response was always the same: “Stop crying, life goes on. That’s nothing to worry about.”

For a long time, those words hurt. I didn’t want solutions—I just wanted a hug, a safe space, and to feel understood. But over the years, I’ve come to see this experience through a new lens. What once felt like rejection now feels like one of the greatest gifts my mother unknowingly gave me: the strength to rise again and again. Her way of loving me, though different from what I needed at the time, built a quiet resilience within me that I’ve carried ever since.

Tune in as I reflect on how childhood patterns can shape us, and how even the hardest moments can hold unexpected treasures of healing and growth.
