The Gift of Being Carried
There are seasons in life when our strength runs out. We try to keep moving, keep pushing, but our legs of faith give way under the weight of grief, anxiety, or weariness. In those moments, the gift is not in what we can carry, but in the truth that God carries us.
Isaiah 46:4 says, "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." What a promise—that the God who created you also shoulders your burdens.
When you can't pray, His Spirit intercedes for you. When you can't walk another step, His arms lift you. When your faith falters, His faithfulness remains. Being carried by God is not weakness—it's grace. It reminds us that our worth is not tied to performance, but to His unchanging love.
Maybe today you feel too tired to keep going. Rest in this: you don't have to. God is carrying you. And in His arms, there is safety, comfort, and strength for tomorrow.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)
