The Gift of Children - Episode 25
If you are a parent, God has given you a unique gift - children. Children are a gift from God. They are a gift that both learns and teaches.
This is our final lesson in Biblical Marriage and Family series. This series started with episode 19. If this is your first episode, I encourage you to go back and listen to all of them.

The GiftPsalm 127
- Anything you do is empty when the Lord is not in it.
- Children are a heritage, a gift, they are never a burden.
- Children are to be sharpened and to be pointed in the right direction.
Psalm 128
To Fear God“In the Bible, the word translated “fear” can mean several things. It can refer to the terror one feels in a frightening situation (Deuteronomy 2:25). It can mean “respect” in the way a servant fears his master and serves him faithfully (Joshua 24:14). Fear can also denote the reverence or awe a person feels in the presence of greatness (Isaiah 6:5). Teaching the fear of God brings a blessing.
Ephesians 6:1-3

It is a command with a promise.
SalvationNever assume that your child will learn about salvation from a pastor or a Sunday school teacher.
- Teach your kids that Jesus Christ is God the Son.
- Teach your kids that they are sinful.
- Teach your kids that sin separates them from God.
- Teach your kids that the only way they can be with God in heaven is to have their sin forgiven.
- And teach your kids that the only way God will forgive our sins is if they believe on God the Son, Jesus Christ.
So we are to teach children to fear God, to obey and honor their parents and how to be saved.
This ends the series on Biblical Marriage and Family. We will be starting a new series next week. This series will take us on a journey, a quest to discover God's glory.
