Today we celebrate Epiphany. This comes from a Greek word meaning "reveal". We see the Lord guiding foreigners across countless miles, so that the Savior could be revealed to them as well. Those outside the family line of Abraham are invited and redeemed by the God of Abraham. This festival is also known as the Gentile's Christmas. We rejoice in the good news that this baby is not just a gift for the Jews, but for all people, no matter their status, past, or present. The outsider is just as welcome at the table as the insider.
Key thought: All souls are invited and precious.
Key thought: Jesus is Jesus for everyone.
