What does it mean for us to see and accept unexpected gifts? Is there even such a thing as freely given gifts, in which we don’t feel some kind of obligation to return a gift, or fulfill other (related or unrelated) expectations? Today we will explore the gifts brought by the magi who give not within any expectations or even hopes, but so faithfully, freely, and generously that today it might leave us asking: is it too good to be true?
