In this week’s episode, we had the honor of hearing from George and Alethea Melton as they shared a powerful word on what it means to live as a people shaped by service, compassion, and unity!
Drawing from Romans 16:1–2 and Matthew 20:28, they reminded us that the Kingdom of God moves through ordinary people who choose to serve like Jesus did. With Luke 8:2–3, they highlighted how generosity has always fueled the work of the Gospel.
Together, they walked us through Paul’s call to humility and gentleness in Ephesians 4:2–4, the invitation to forgive freely in Ephesians 4:32, and the blessing connected to caring for the overlooked (Proverbs 19:17). They reminded us that God still answers when we call (Jeremiah 33:3) and that service is one of the clearest ways we reflect His heart (Romans 12:7–13).
They also pointed us to the early church in Acts 6:1–7—a community where serving practical needs mattered just as deeply as preaching—and showed how God equips His people with skill and excellence (Exodus 28:3). And with Titus 1:5, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, and Philippians 4:4, they encouraged us to finish the work God puts in our hands, build one another up, and choose joy every single day.
This episode is a heartfelt call from George and Alethea to slow down, pay attention, and let Jesus shape us into a people who serve with joy, forgive with tenderness, love with purpose, and carry His presence into every room.
You’re going to be encouraged, challenged, and deeply blessed by their message.
