1 Timothy 6:17-19; We are rich, but this is sometimes hard to admit because riches are deceptive. This passage has two warnings, 1. We may have our hope set on our riches, not on God, and 2. We may miss out on eternal life. We need to ask if we are generous or distracted, generous or selfish. Set your hope on God's salvation through the work of Jesus on the cross. God promises to fully reward our generous response to salvation.
