Lk. 11:1-4

What Jesus gives

◊ Jesus gives us an example in prayer—observe Him (v. 1a)

◊ Jesus gives instruction in prayer—follow it (vv. 1b-2a)

What we give

◊ We give reverence to God’s name—honor it (v. 2b)

◊ We give loyalty to God’s rule—proclaim and demonstrate it (v. 2c)

What God gives

◊ God is giving—humbly ask for it (v. 3)

◊ God is forgiving—graciously mirror it (v. 4)

◊ God is power-giving—boldly receive it (v. 4b)
