Pastor Derrill's continues the Life of the Table series with a sermon emphasizing the global table. We find that the call of God to gather at the table was enlarged up on Pentecost (which happens to be today), 50 days after Passover, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the newly formed church. The power that came upon them was for witness in the nations of the world. This requires honor, flexibility, curiosity, and a true acknowledgment that ethnicity is eternal and part of God’s design for humanity. Stretching ourselves to be multicultural and multi-ethnic believers is Godly.
