With 2MFM covering the event at Western Sydney University Bankstown campus, the Islamic and Arabic Research League formally invited Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie, the Deputy Chairman of Darul Fatwa Australia to the event 'The Notion of the Muhkam and the Mutashabih Verses'. In this lecture, the Sheikh presents in an academic style PowerPoint presentation and discusses the topics of the eloquence of the Qur’an, miracles relevant to the time of the prophets, the challenge the Qur’an imposed on the non-believers at Prophet Muhammad’s time and the different types of verses in the Holy Qur’an with the sheikh giving a definition to them. The sheikh also shows how the Salaf (the successors who lived in the first 300 years after the Hijra) and the Khalaf (successors of the Salaf) explained the different types of verses in the Holy Qur’an.
