The first people to hear about Jesus' birth weren't kings or priests, but ordinary shepherds working in the fields. God chose these regular people to demonstrate that His good news is for everyone, not just the privileged few. We don't need to make the story more dramatic by claiming these were special priestly shepherds or despised outcasts - they were simply ordinary people doing ordinary work. The true miracle wasn't the angelic announcement, but that God became human and came to be with ordinary people like us. This means God can use ordinary believers today to share His extraordinary love with others in our everyday lives.
