Michael Hinton // After spending the last six weeks looking at themes that run through the book of Genesis—trees, blessings, atonement, sabbath, and temple—we can now see pretty clearly that the book of Hebrews demonstrates that Jesus is the fulfillment of all of God’s promises to his people. All of these themes have been patterned after Jesus. All of them are meant to point toward Jesus. The gift of Hebrews is reminding us, in the best of seasons and in the hardest of seasons, that God is still faithful. In fact, he has always been faithful. He made a plan to be faithful from the start—(even when he knew we would reject him) he chose to create us still and put into motion a plan for our salvation from the very beginning.
