We all know how troubling things can seem in this world in which we live. We are surrounded by trouble: past, present and future. Despite what the optimism of humanity might proclaim there has been no sign of anything changing much at all. It is the same old story again and again. Part of the same old story is that this world will never understand. The world is in the dark and cannot be trusted.

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15). The gospel is the good news proclaiming that God can make things right again. Just like the light that penetrated the first creation brought order and goodness, the light of the gospel will bring new order and new goodness. There will be new creation in anyone who might bow to The God of Salvation.
