I. The teaching of God’s sovereignty rejects a salvation by works.

A. Sovereign grace exposes the lie that God helps those who help themselves or God has done His part but the rest is up to you. Prov. 14:12; Eph. 2:9 Rom. 4:1-5

B. Sovereign grace salvation uncovers that God helps those who are unable to help themselves (everybody). Rom. 9:21-24; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 3:24, Rom. 8:32; John 1:12-13; John 3:1-8

II. The teaching of God’s sovereignty labors to give God all the credit and glory. Jonah 2:9; Psa. 3:8; 1 Chron. 16:35

A. We are all born with hearts of stone. Eze. 36:25-27

B. God and only God is the potter, and we are the clay. Rom. 9:21-23; Acts 13:48; John 6:37

C. God does all He does in salvation by grace, not works. Rom. 11:5-6; 2 Tim. 1:9; Acts 16:14; John 10:26-27, 6:37,44; Matt. 6:45
