The God of the Unclean and Far Away

TJ kicked off our new series Authority Unlisted with a powerful and hope-filled message from Matthew 8:1-13. In this passage, Jesus reaches out to heal two unlikely people: a man with leprosy and the servant of a Roman centurion. One was seen as unclean, the other as too far removed. Yet Jesus responds with compassion, authority, and healing. TJ reminds us that we don’t have to have it all together to come to Jesus. He’s the God who touches the untouchable, heals across distance, and still wants to meet us right where we are. Just like the outcast and the outsider, we are invited to come in faith, just as we are.
