We spend our whole lives urging our children to be independent; why should we depend on God? The world sees dependence as a negative thing, signifying weakness. Yet God is all-powerful. He owns all things, is all-knowing, and is able to lead and guide you in every good path.

On the other hand, is there any strength in the "arm of flesh?"  We are so weak in every way in comparison to the strength of God. One day, we will breathe our last breath and be gone from the Earth. All will be forgotten. Yet God remembers.
