 In Exodus 19, lightning flashes, thunder roars, and a mountain trembles as God descends on Sinai to meet His people. This moment of awe and wonder reminds us that the Holy One draws near—not to burden, but to invite us into covenant, relationship, and belonging. And it all points forward to when God would come down again, this time in the person of Jesus, to bring us close forever.
