We learn more about Sarai's maidservant Hagar in Genesis chapter 16. In an effort to help God fulfill his promise, Sarai comes up with an idea for children that ultimately causes heartbreak and hardship. But God encourages Hagar and reveals himself to her as the God who sees her and knows her.
