Today we fully step into the practice of checking in. Checking in helps us be mindful of how hungry we are and what we can choose that will make us feel better over time…
At each meal check in with the question how hungry am I? On a scale from 0-10. 0 not hungry at all, 10 you’re a full blown starving. Give yourself a moment to feel hungry. I think sometimes we are so stuck in the day to day, we don’t even know how hungry we are, we eat just because it’s the time to do so and we finish what's on our plate without even realizing. I am totally guilty of eating too fast and finishing whats on my plate so I can continue to the next thing thats on my list for the day. Let’s slow down at meal time, chew, drink water and take a moment to be grateful for what’s on our plate.
We’re not going to talk too much about food, as I know we all already know we we need to dao and eat to be healthy. We know what we should and shouldn’t be eating. We also know calories in VS calories out. We’re filled with all the knowledge, now it’s time to take action. Just a few things to think about is choosing whole foods. When you’re reading labels, start thinking about all those unpronounceables, can our bodies even digest them properly? Are there long term side effects? What the hell are they and do I even want them in my body?When I take a moment to think about it, I’m going with no. Fine if i’m in a pinch or pickle, but if I have the choice of healthy whole foods, that’s what I should be able to choose, with ease, as that’s what my body needs. If this feels hard, it’s just because you are out of practice, and now is the time to start back up, tuning in, be grateful and choosing healthy foods with ease.

What does transformation mean / look like / feel like to me? What does it feel like to be open to change? There’s no right or wrong, just write whatever comes to mind :) It can be a list of a few words, or an entire paragraph- if you’re not sure, just take a few minutes to close your eyes and dream of you, a few months ahead that feels like she’s transforming into her best self. (all with ease and joy) Another way to think about this is…The path of making changes looks and feels like…..

The path of no changing, keeping the same thoughts and behaviors I have today…
