Ravana, the might king of Lanka, was a devout follower of Lord Shiva, scholar and a maestro of veena. We learnt in the previous episode that people flourished under his rule. Lanka was a idyllic city with trade and administration at their peaks. Ravana, after his brief meeting with Akampana, sought help from Mareecha, who advises him against fighting with Rama. However, sister manipulates hard and Ravana is now more resolved to cause grief to Rama. He learns of Sita's beauty and wishes to have her for him. Ravana thus meets with Mareecha once again to hatch a plan.
