Host and Producer Holly G and The Golf Insiders Social Media Expert, EVVUS, Will Perry, are in the studio the week before the Tour Championship previewing the final event of the season. Will and Holly talk about who from the 30 final players have the chance to win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup title.
Holly welcomes Aly N. Benitez, JD, MBA and Founder/Board President of Pulse of Orlando, Inc. to the show. Prior to tonight's show Holly was able to present a check for some of the proceeds from the GOLFUNITED Fore PULSE Charity Scramble Event. Aly updates listeners about what has been going on since the tragedy three months ago. Pulse of Orlando has raised more than $250,000 since the tragedy.
After the break Holly and Will speak with ESPN.com's Bob Harig who is at East Lake on the eve of the Tour Championship. Bob said it's a little subdued without a pro-am and no spectators on Tuesday's practice rounds.
Holly asks Bob about Jason Day's nagging back injury. Bob said that Jason only started practicing a couple of days ago. Bob said that Jason had gotten away from the preventive measures to help heal his back with playing so much golf and it caught up with him.
Bob and Holly talk about Jordan Spieth who is the defending champ. Holly's sentimental favorite might be Paul Casey. Bob says that Casey could spoil the whole scenario by placing second in the final event after not winning the whole season and none of the top guys winning.
Will and Bob talk about the way the FedEx Cup is set up. Last year Spieth missed the cut at the first two events of the FedEx Cup and still won the title. Bob picks Spieth to win the Tour Championship given how he studied so well last year and how well he plays Bermuda greens.
Holly asks Will about the foursome at Grand Cypress contest that is starting this week.
Steve Eubanks from Global Golf Post talks with Holly about the Evian Championship which was won by In Gee Chun. Holly and Steve talk about some of the players who have not played well of late. Steve talks about Lydia Ko and how her driving is giving her problems with distance.
Holly asks Steve about East Lake who lives in the Atlanta area. Steve has played the course since it opened many years ago and has seen it go through some changes. He feels that whoever drives the best this week will win the Tour Championship.
