Melissa Rohlfs talks to us about overcoming an eating disorder brought on by the death of her father at an early and formative age. Join me as she tells her story and how she is now helping other women to overcome their eating disorders.
Melissa Rohlfs is a certified holistic health and life coach helping busy women find freedom and feel at peace with food, their bodies, and their lives.
She is committed to empowering women to break free from dieting, emotional eating, and self-image issues so they can ditch the diet mentality and feel empowered in their own skin.
She teaches women how to find freedom from the struggle with food.
After her own tumultuous history with food {withholding and then later in life, bingeing}, she learned how to deal with the core issues around her broken relationship with food. As a result, she felt called to go to school and learn to teach other women how to do the same.
She graduated from the Health Coach Institute as a Holistic Health and Life Coach in 2018 and is the proud owner of Free 2 B Coaching.
She is a proud Purdue alumna living in Arizona with her husband, Chad, and two kiddos.

Butterflies + Halos was created by Angie Hanson. Angie lost her 1-year-old son Garret in 2006 due to a rare heart defect. She then became a widow in February 2009 after her husband Jack's short battle with ocular melanoma, and she then became a grieving sibling in April 2009 after her brother Seth's battle with a 5-year brain tumor ended. Angie also sadly had to say goodbye to her sister-in-law, Brooke (her 1st husband's sister), in June 2018. Angie has always struggled with finding the right sympathy card or grief card at the stores for her friends and family. Cards have always been so generic and not something she would say to her best friend after a death. Butterflies + Halos is a company that will help you grieve with your friend instead of trying to "fix" your friend. I think I finally found a card that “speaks hope into the grieving heart.

Favorite Quote from This Episode: "There's nothing wrong with you that will prevent you from getting help and changing if you will do what it takes to get help. So don't think you're broken. Don't think you're helpless. Don't think it's hopeless. Keep reaching out for help until you find that person, that book, that podcast, whatever, that clicks and that gets you where you want to go."
