Ephesians 2:1-3 The tendencies of someone who is born dead in trespasses and sins are not very nice.
Ephesians 4:17-19 “Futility” means a complete lack of effectiveness or point; uselessness; unimportance. “Sensual” means unduly indulging the appetites or sexual pleasure. Sensualist is a system of ethics predicating the pleasures of senses to be the highest good.
Ephesians 4:20-24 We were recreated or reborn or born again to be like our Father. God lives the good life and wants us to have the same.
1Peter 1:14-16 Be like your Father, and make every day Father’s day.
Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8 – “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory.”
Exodus 34:6-7 Yahweh, Yahweh God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; Who keeps lovingkindness with thousands and forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet by no means allows the guilty to go unpunished visiting the iniquity of the fathers unto the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.
Acts 1:5-8; 2:4, 33, 38 We have holy spirit making us like our Father.
Ephesians 4:31-5:12
Galatians 5:16-21 A life riddled with the works of the flesh is the bad life.
22-ff – We have been given the good life through our Lord Jesus Christ, not a life measured by worldly standards of wealth, popularity, power, fame, and indulgences, but a life measured by the fruit of the spirit − love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Love – Romans 5:5-11; Ephesians 2:1-8

Joy – John 15:11; Phil 4:4-9

Peace – John 14:27; Romans 1:7; 1Cor1:3; Gal 1:3 and 4 We no longer go to bed worrying all night if we are going to be caught for the evil we did during the day.

Patience – Ephesians 4:1-3; Col 1:9-12

Kindness – Romans 2:4; Ephesians 2:3-7; Titus 3:1-4

Goodness – Romans 15:4; Ephesians 5:9 Righteousness, integrity, decency

Faithfulness – Faith

Gentleness – 1Timothy 6:8-12; Galatians 6:1-10; 2Timothy 2:22-ff; 1Peter 3:15

Self-control – Self-discipline, willpower, restraint

5:24 The Greek word “pathema” is by far translated suffer or suffering as we noted in our study of 1Peter 1:11; 4:13; 5:1 and 9

When use the phrase “Passion of Christ,” we are referring to the suffering of Christ, not his desires, longings, or lusts. The next word emphasizes passion and desires.
