Turn an 8 on its side and it stops being a number.
It becomes a promise instead — the line that runs out, curves back and meets itself. No entry point. No exit. Just the crossing in the middle where the whole thing turns over.
009 took a while to get here. Some things are worth the long way round.
This one is melodic house. Slower on the throttle than I usually run, and deliberately so. Less force, more lift. Built for a room where the light moves rather than strobes, where the lift is a sunrise instead of a switch — two lobes, one unbroken line. The first half opens out. The second half folds back. Same line the whole way.
Eight is the number that refuses to finish. Rotate it and you get eternity. Stack it and you get the octave — the same note, higher up, still the same note. That is the entire set in one shape.
For the room I have been circling.
