We live in a world darkened by the evils of selfishness, hate, crime, exploitation, racism, addition, terrorism, and war. Evil seems easy to identify, and the question is often raised, “Why do those people do such terrible things?” On closer examination, though, we see that we too sometimes fall victim to evil thoughts, and hurtful actions. Why? What does it mean to be a “good person?” And, does the small part we play in this universal drama really make any difference at all?
