In this sermon on John 10, John reflects on Jesus’ claim to be the Good Shepherd. Jesus does not simply give advice or instruction – he gives himself. In him, we are offered relationship with the God who knows us fully and loves us completely, protection from the enemies that threaten us, and provision for a life marked by peace, purpose, and hope. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep so that we might have life to the full.
