Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He came to give us life, and life more abundantly. He will lead us out to find pasture and then back in to rest. Religion with its hirelings will keep you working on your behavior, trying to change yourself, or make yourself better. Jesus came to give us His life, we exchange our death for His life when we are saved. We need to bring Jesus our self instead of our bad behavior so we can be eternally transformed. We work toward change by changing our environment, changing our behaviors and changing our beliefs. We need to go one step further and work on our identity by simply exchanging our old identity for His identity, or trade our old man for His new man.
