The Gospel of Generosity

The text today comes from various verses in Proverbs. Money is something that is good. But money can have a powerful hold on our lives and can easily become a god, a place where we can put our trust for security. We are often reluctant to talk about it in churches as we consider it to be too personal. As a result we are often reluctant to be generous in honoring God and in helping others. Why is that so and how should we look at our money and financial resources? “The Gospel of Generosity” is part of our Living with Competence-A Look at Proverbs series.
