This week we look at how embracing the authority of Jesus is submission producing obedience. Pastor Stan gives us some great ways to pray differently in our lives so that everything we do is first submitted to God versus asking Him to bless the plans we’ve already made.

1. In your life - personal, spiritual discipline to give God the first-fruits of your affection and attention.

2. In your marriage - a dependence on God to empower you to love your spouse the way Christ loves the church.

3. In your work - trusting God to empower you to serve Him in the workplace through your effort, testimony and compassion.

4. In your parenting - trusting God to teach you how to raise your children in the Lord and following through on discipleship, discipline and mobilizing them for the glory of God.

5. In your finances - realizing that God has blessed you with those resources in order to glorify Him in how you use them - by stewarding well and recognizing His provision.

6. In our church - answering the high calling of being God’s servants in our community so that people can hear and understand that God loves them and has made a way for them to have a life-transforming relationship with Him.

7. In the world - a commitment under the authority of Jesus to serve others for the glory of God and the joy of all people.
