Amidst an act of treachery on the part of one of His disciples, Jesus shares one final Passover meal with the 12. In so doing, He institutes a new covenant by replacing the Passover lamb, unleavened bread, and wine with Himself. Through the broken body and shed blood of Jesus, we are set free of our sins. This is why we celebrate the Lord’s Supper/Communion today. We remember and proclaim His death, forgiveness, and salvation until He comes again! Amen!
