Being a disciple of Christ is not an easy path. Jesus told us in Chapter 8 of Mark that we must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him. As we finish off Chapter 9 Jesus will continue to lay out the cost that there is in following Him, and the extreme measures we are often required to take in being a living sacrifice.
