In Jesus' revelation of himself to the church of Laodicea he began this way: "These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation" (Revelation 3:14). When we meditate on the power of truth and the importance of truth, we begin to realize what truth means when God himself is the source. It should cause our faith to sky-rocket (or heaven-rocket).

This is exactly what God would have all believers understand as they live and dwell in the midst of this miracle of truth God's Amen. The Apostle Paul wrote to encourage the church in Corinth that the Gospel is not "Yes" and "No." In other words, there is no doubt of God's truth. Paul went on to say that in Jesus, the Gospel has "always been 'Yes'" (2 Corinthians 1:19)! May we all learn and grow in God's "Yes" more and more. Amen.
