After learning about Ananias & Sapphira's wrong approach to giving, we take a brief detour into 2 Corinthians 8-9 to see what Paul teaches about the grace and privilege of giving as well as how Trinity Life Church handles gifts and offerings.

NOTE: In setting the scene for this passage, Jon made a mistake in explaining those who would receive the offering Paul was encouraging the Corinthians to contribute towards. It was not the Macedonians who would receive the offering. Instead, the Jerusalem church would benefit from the offering that would come from both the Macedonians and the Corinthians. Paul's point in comparing Corinth with Macedonia was that the Macedonians were comparatively poor but had already gone above and beyond in giving to the collection. Aside from this detail, we believe the rest of this morning's message holds up!
