The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck chapter 12, Narrated by Isaac Birchall
This chapter tells the story of the roads. Long lines of cars flood the highways and Route 66. The narrator follows the farmers who express their concerns about the travel, and the danger of it. How when cars break down and cars need new parts, the salesmen cheat them out of what little money they have left. People expressing their worries that California does not possibly have enough room for all of these traveling people.
