The Grass Doesn't Grow Here Anymore

Listen Later

We are born and live in a concrete world that surrounds us not realising the impact on the environment around us. We are trapped in an ever decreasing cycle of climate change and we don't see that "the grass doesn't grow here anymore". The conflict of happiness that modernism brings contrasts to the erosion and effect it is creating on the planet as a whole. It seems that there is so little space and yet so much time but we can't even hear a single word.

Lyrics
The grass doesn’t grow here anymore
Said the jailer to the birds
Concrete ceilings, walls and floor
You can’t even hear a single word
The only type of peace that you will find
When you’re fast asleep and all you have are dreams
So little space and so much time
You choose your life. That’s so it seems
Go down your heart
Go down your soul
You can find good reason why you are there
Go down your heart
Go down your soul
Wishing that you are elsewhere….. alright
All I want is to see the sky
That’s all I ask before I die
The grass doesn’t grow here anymore
Said the jailer to the birds
Concrete ceilings, walls and floor
You can’t even hear a single word
Concrete ceilings, walls and floor
You can’t even hear a single word
Concrete ceilings, walls and floor
You can’t even hear a word.
