To me an affirmation statement is more than just looking in the mirror and and saying I am (fill in the blank). Its also spiritual practice declaring that I trust god. Its what I believe about myself as an individual. It can be how a collective believes about themselves as a community. It can also be what the media projects on us to influence our beliefs.

With this podcast series, I want to do a couple of things, staring off by examining faith based perspectives on how our thoughts become our reality. Then I want to get a psychologists opinion on how "I am" statements effect the brain.
