This podcast consists of a brief summary of the contents of a book entitled "The Great Depression, Its Origins in Acceleration and Electric Unit Drive," published by World Scientific in February 2023. It is organized around five themes, the Great Depression, the Technology Shock, The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act and the Stock Market Crash, the Dowturn and the New Deal. It maintains that all of these events were prompted ultimately by the technology shock that was electric unit drive.
