When the crowds cried out "Crucify Him" they also cried out "may his innocent blood be on is if we are wrong...we will bear the guilt of his death." When we sin we join with the crowd crying out defiantly "may his blood be on us." When we repent we cry out desperately "may his blood be on us" to save us.
