The high priesthood in the Old Testament was designed in part to give us a sense that God is concerned with us having representation. But the best they could do is point us to the Lord. You and I have a sin problem and because of that we need representation before God. Everything about the priesthood, as we’ll see today, symbolized the solution God had in mind all along.
