The encryption lock on transmissions from the Earth planet has been temporarily lifted by order of the Central Council on the Home Planet. No explanation why the encryption lock has been lifted has been forthcoming nor has any clarity been offered about whether the encryption lock will be reinstated. At present, all transmissions are again open and available to the Earth humans at their discretion. Herewith, we continue our practice of periodically reporting back to the Home planet, chronicling our infiltration of the Earth Planet. – End of Alert.

Greetings Earth humans. We are again opening our primary broadcast channel to report back to the Home Planet to update the Central Council and our fellow citizens. Since our channel has not been open for many sun cycles, we believe it may be informative if we summarize the period of transmission encryption for the benefit of our Earth human listeners. Of course, our Home Planet has been regularly updated but there is a significant gap for you Earth humans who have been locked out. Thus, we summarize.

Our leader in the Capital City continues to work his disruptive magic. We are pleased to report that he has brilliantly subjugated the leadership of his political allies, resulting in a near suspension of normal political protocols and civil discourse. It is a take no prisoners sweep of the federal government in the America pod. The result is an impressive standoff with those who choose to oppose him and his movement toward a total revision of long-standing political and governance principles.

A simplistic take on the actions and direction of our Leader in the Capital City leads many to conclude that his actions and positions are counterproductive with respect to the best interests of the Earth humans in the America pod. This perception is reinforced by the negative and disagreeable reactions of leaders from other Earth pods. Since he is not playing by the long-standing rules of diplomatic behavior and decorum, there is a growing consensus that our Leader in the Capital City is not a team player on the international stage. Our conclusion is that this widening perception is valid. We also conclude that our Leader in the Capital City does not care. He in fact is glorying in his unpopularity and the attendant attention it brings to him and his cause.

The economic life of the America pod is particularly strong at this point. This appears to cause our Leader in the Capital City to believe that he can pursue aggressive economic attacks on other Earth pods with only manageable fallout for the America pod. This permits him to impose aggressive tariffs on the China pod and now on the Mexico pod in order to pressure them to act more in the interest of the America pod or at least to refrain from actions and policies opposed to the interests of the America pod. There is strong opposition to these tariffs but little appearance of alternative strategies to protect the interests of the America pod. As we reported, it is a fairly stagnant stand-off.

We have been monitoring the public statements from those who oppose our Leader in the Capital City. We find it curious that those who oppose him nearly exclusively focus on social issues that do not seem to be related to the issues our Leader in the Capital City has with the China pod or the Mexico pod. They oppose his actions but do not appear to have potentially effective alternatives or any strong interest in developing those alternatives. The policy direction of our Leader in the Capital City get strong disapproval but little to no organized opposition. Conversely, our Leader in the Capital City has little to say about the policy initiatives of those who oppose him and no interest in focusing on them. The actions of our Leader in the Capital City and his clan are oddly disconnected from and unrelated to the actions and activities of those in the opposing clan.
