A character shows their mettle in life and sometimes in death. “The Greatest Deaths in Pop Culture” is Ed and Producer Bill’s offbeat list of character demises that affected us deeply. From Tony Montana to Robocop we explore characters defined by their deaths. This prompts an existential discussion about the purpose of depicting death in fiction and what it has done to our understanding of the concept.
