I was having a completely unrelated conversation last night about what motivates a person to behave a certain way or say certain things. It was abundantly clear to me that the person we were talking about could not possibly be as stupid as what he was doing would indicate. So what in the world was motivating him to do this incredibly stupid thing?
As I was driving home reviewing what had been said, it occurred to me that I had made some assumptions that may not have been true, even though one would assume that they were based on the situation. In other words, when a person achieves certain things in life, you just sort of assume that they know and/or believe certain things. But what if that assumption is incorrect?
