Jesus endured excruciating separation from God so that you and I don't have to. The mental and spiritual anguish that Jesus endured on the cross may have been more difficult than even the physical torture. Yet, Jesus remained in control, maintained trust in God, and yielded his life so that we may know the joy of deep connection and relation with God.
