In this episode, I shared my personal opinion on how the #stayhome trend can be extremely inconsiderate towards low-income people. Unfortunately, some ideologies have been pushing an agenda that doesn't fit our real life.
For so many, the concern many small business owners have is an act of selfishness. Well, it is not. The most common argument is that the whole world has to stay home to save lives, but who can really just stay home? Are we all collecting unemployment, or collecting enough to feed our families?
There is a HUGE array of people from different walks of life that simply need to work to provide to their families. For many leftists, the embracement of the same pre-constructed phrases is simply scary: "Oh they want to re-open the economy because of the pressure from investors, the wealthy, and shareholders. They are afraid of losing money...." There is a truth to that, but the majority of the people asking for answers and for solutions to warm up the economy again, are those that need to re-open their businesses (considering guidelines and precautions), immigrants looking for jobs, low-income families, etc.
Who is the 1% now? In fact, those that shame who has been trying to feed their families or not lose their small businesses.
