Denis (Fokuzx2) and Joe catch up a little, talking about Denis' recent trip to Rally Legends. Then we get into the announcement of Assetto Corsa Rally (ACR) from Kunos. We discuss what we've seen so far, our hopes for the game, and how we are being "optimistically cautious". 
Just as we are wrapping up, Cap'n Scrub (Adam) joins the fray. Denis departs, leaving Adam and Joe to talk about ACR all over again.

The GRF boys are back, but something weird is happening...

Denis and JoeMVR talk about the current Special Event, loosely-based on the ARA 2021 championship. Event one is still in progres sif you want to join. Joe recounts some of the drama of the actual season, and then goes on to describe the structure of hte GRF championship, that will run for 8 weeks.
We talk about the JRC and GRF's rocky start to this competition, and possible reasons why.

Joe discusses progress in quality for VR users, thanks to Redditor, LunchFlat6515's efforts to optimise many settings.

Denis gives a run down of the Summer Championship and the status of other GRF clubs.

Next we talk about the new EA Sports Roadmap and what we think of it. We speculate about the specifics and then get facetious with talk of EV rally/rallycross cars. I suspect some people are playing Devil's Advocate in the tongue-in-cheek discussion. Denis had to leave early to rub his tongue on something, leaving Scrub and I to finish chatting in his absence.

The GRF Show Podcast Episode 16: Flat-out with Sim Vansevenant

A very special episode with rally simulator legend, Sim Vansevenant/ SRD_Flatout/Sim’s Racing!

We get to know Sim a little and about his background and how he got into rally. We talk about his DR2.0 driving, his livery making (with a humble revelation later on in the episode), and his high-production values as a YouTuber making videos about rally games.
We talk a lot about what is known, what we want to see and what we speculate with the new EA Sports WRC game, to be released in November 2023.

This transitions us into talking about the new game and what GRF’s plans are to integrate the as yet sight-unseen game into the GRF clubs, while also not alienating those who are slower to migrate away from DR2.0.

Towards the end of the show, Sim tells us about his experience as a semi-finalist in the DR 2.0 World Series in 2021. We touch on the perils of burning out, when our hobby begins to take up too much of our time and is not fun any more.
Finally, we do our shout-outs and sign off.
