What's GREAT, Groovers! We are back with a new season and episode! We apologize for the heavy delay, but just know that The Groove Suite is STILL in motion, and we plan to get the podcast back rolling!

Mr. Al Pete steps back in the arena to kick things off with his recap of hosting and DJing at the 2026 Jacksonville Jazz Festival, held in Jacksonville, Florida. This festival happened on May 21-24, 2026 and it was filled with great performances, moments, and more. Pete had the chance to witness acts like Butcher Brown, Moonchild, Nile Rogers, and more rock the stage. He also had a few memorable moments that he shares. He wraps it up with a schedule of episodes that will occur throughout the season.

Groovers! We are back with a fresh episode. Mr. Al Pete has a dope conversation with musician/podcaster/comedian/etc. Donwill. They talk about his recent win at the Webby Awards for his podcast show ‘The Almanac of Rap’ and his new group song ‘Don’t Look Up’. 

Donwill is part of the Hip Hop group Tanya Morgan and they have been striving through the music streets since the early 2000’s. They have plans to release more music, but the Funk and Soul fused with Hip Hop (lyrics) is present and a jam for you all!

We're back with the first episode of 2023! In this episode, Mr. Al Pete gives condolences and praises to 1/3 of De La Soul member Trugoy, that passed away on February 12th, 2023. Pete also speaks on the 2nd annual Hip Hop Festival that's happening on February 18th, 2023 at James Weldon Johnson Park in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It'll be a day of Hip Hop from the local scene. Lastly, Pete gives information on The Groove Suite event happening on February 24th, 2023 at 9pm.

October 19th, 2020 is when Mr. Al Pete released his 7th solo album ‘B.A.B.N.’, so on this episode, Pete gives the people the whole album (on a podcast…Whaaaa…).

In 1995, R&B recording artist Faith Evans released an album that shook up the music game, and made it more rocky when “Soon As I Get Home” was a single. Mr. Al Pete has a dope talk with ChristinaCurates about how the song brought memories and joy to her, where she was at when it came out, and she also shares a concert story that’s pretty funny, but cool!
