This is the reshaped and restructured GYRE story.
An Audio Speculative Fiction
In the not-so-distant future, the seas have reclaimed much of the Earth, and from the floating city-ship Triton, a new generation has emerged—mysterious, attuned, and unlike any before.
They are called The Gyre.
Born of the ocean and sky, the Gyre are more than human: collectively aware, eerily prescient, and able to communicate with the orcas that roam the deep. These creatures, once symbols of wild beauty, now carry urgent messages. They warn that humanity must yield—that the old ways no longer belong in the new world forming beneath the waves.
When Aether, a young woman haunted by powerful headaches and strange memories, arrives on Triton seeking relief, she’s drawn into the Gyre’s web of perception. In the ship’s enigmatic sleep lab, time begins to blur. Past and future collapse into one. And the orcas begin to whisper to her. They remember her. She survived the sea once. Now they ask her to join it.
But not everyone welcomes what the Gyre represent. At the Global Seabed Conference, a moment meant to bridge the world above and below spirals into fear and resistance. Triton is destroyed. The Gyre scattered.
Yet the current remembers. And the story is far from over.
The Gyre is a speculative sonic journey that blurs the lines between prophecy and memory, land and sea, self and collective. It asks what might come after the world we know—if we dared to listen.
