Today, we continue our On Set Interview Series by speaking with John MacGillivray, Special Effects Coordinator on The Handmaid’s Tale! We went into this interview excited to hear the details behind all the explosions and fires and bombings in The Handmaid's Tale but ended up learning so much more. Special effects is all that, yes, but it's also creating the atmosphere in the colonies, the snow and rain and fog on screen, and just so many more important details that give the show the look and feel it's so famous for. John is the friendliest, most fascinating, and talented man (with yet another incredibly cool job), and we hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did!
