"The Hands-on Comfort of God's Word" Psalm 119:73-80

Listen Later

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. There are many patterns to help us contemplate the miracle that is God's Word. Psalm 119 is a blessed hymn to God's Word. It is full of poetic devises to help us take in the Word of God. And God wants his Word to do its miraculous work deep in our hearts.
We will be taking a deep look into the 10th stanza. Each line begins with the 10th letter of the Hebrew alphabet: Yodh (yode). In this "yodh stanza" the very first word in Hebrew is the word "hands" (Yad). It looks this way in our English translation: "Your hands made me and formed me." (Psalm 119:73). It is God's will that we know that his hand upon us. May the prayer that starts this 10th octave rise up to bless all who will choose to partake in God's Word.
